This device provides a constant load (two 470 ohs resistors) to the outputs of the 5th and 6th channels when they are not in use (i.e., electrode cable is not connected to the stimulator raised input jack). The "terminating load" should always be inserted in the 5/6 channel stimulator/control unit connector whenever these channels are not being used.
