"energy consumption" and "metabolic expenditure"
test.
The metabolic test is performed at the end of the FES Walking Program,
under standard conditions and while walking on a treadmill for a maximum
continuous (walking) time at the subject's maximum self-preferred speed.
Following the test, the prescribing MD is able to recommend the optimal
parameters at which the subject may obtain maximum benefit from walking
with his/her Parastep I System.
